More People, More Active, More Often
Aquatic activity is a central part of the Hawke's Bay lifestyle given our warm climate, high sunshine hours and coastal location. Swimming pools play an important role as places to learn to swim, cool-off, have fun, get fit, play sport, rehabilitate and relax.
Central Hawkes Bay, Hastings, Napier and Wairoa councils are working collaboratively with Sport Hawke's Bay and independent consultants Visitor Solutions to develop a comprehensive plan to ensure we have accessible, affordable, sustainable and fit-for-purpose aquatic facilities to meet community needs across the Region.
The first step is hearing from the Hawke’s Bay community about their aquatic participation and experiences, by completing the survey: Hawke-s-Bay-Aquatic-Provision-Survey
The survey is open for all Hawke’s Bay residents and will take about 5-10 minutes to complete. Respondents can enter the draw to win a $50 voucher to a selected Pool of their choice.
The survey closes on 12th December 2025. A separate survey will be distributed to organisations that book or use swimming pools for group activities.
