Akina
On the southern side of Hastings, the Akina area offers a range of easy, pleasant walks with a expansive sports park in the area.

Camberley & Hawke's Bay Hospital
The selection of easy community walks links provide an intriguing insight into this family-orientated community.   A progressive, diverse community, resourceful, safe and healthy in a beautiful environment is the motto identified for Camberley in the Hastings District Council Camberley Community Plan. 

Flaxmere Street Walks
All seven Flaxmere street walks start from the hub of the village centre, the Flaxmere Shopping Centre.  It is also an area of high cultural diversity and this mixture of cultural and ethnic influence on traditional small town New Zealand will be evident as you wander throughout the village.

Havelock North
Havelock North offers a variety of walks including sites of historical importance to the Havelock North Village and moments of solitude at the Keirunga Gardens

Mahora
Among Hawke's Bay's most pleasant walking areas, Mahora features the tree-ringed Cornwall Park with its variety of attractions including Osmanthus Chinese Garden. 

Mayfair
Close to the old Hastings Railway Station and with the Hawke's Bay Showgrounds nearby, Mayfair has a range of easy and interesting walks. 

Pakowhai Country Park
Pakowhai Country Park lies astride the Raupare Stream which occupies part of the former Ngaruroro River bed, and the Hastings side is managed by the Hawke's Bay Regional Councilfor recreation and flood control purposes

Parkvale
On the outskirts of Hastings, Parkvale is nestled beside orchards and among the most pleasurable areas for walking or cycling.    This area connects with Mayfair and Akina for longer walks for those who want a challenge. 

Raureka
Some busy roads dissect a suburb which offers a variety of activity for the family, including a tennis club and Ebbett Park.

St Leonards
Discover a variety of interestnig features on walks through on of Hastings most established suburbs.  

Te Mata Peak
The towering Te Mata Peak will leave an indelible mark on your memory.  This area caters for moderate to high fitness levels with challenging climbs and beautiful bush walks.
