Come on the Bay is being chanted at sports grounds throughout Hawke’s Bay and now sports fans can be a part of the successful sports initiative. A fan club has been launched for the popular Come on the Bay initiative led by Sport Hawke’s Bay, Hawke’s Bay Rugby, Hawks basketball and Hawke’s Bay United. Sport Hawke’s Bay commercial manager Kevin Murphy said Come on the Bay had been taken on by supporters at Magpies, Hawks and United games and it was now time to not only unite the sports but also fans. “Come on the Bay was always about uniting Hawke’s Bay sports fans and giving our local teams the edge and it’s proven successful with the song being sung by fans at every opportunity,” Murphy said.

Murphy added that the aim was to get all keen sports supporters as members especially families and a priority was keeping the membership costs down while offering many benefits.

A family membership (four people) is $10 while an individual membership is $5.

Each membership will get a Come on the Bay wall planner with key Hawke’s Bay events and a water bottle.Fans can join Come on the Bay at Sport Hawke’s Bay at the Pettigrew.Green Arena in Taradale.
